Happy 1,000th show to The Chase

Cult daytime show The Chase reached a landmark today with its 1,000th episode.

To make the programme extra special, host Bradley Walsh welcomed a different Chaser for each of the contestants taking part, and fans loved the bumper crop of quiz pros putting in an appearance.

One fan showed his commitment to the daytime show.

There was some tough competition for biggest fan.

It looked like there was a lot of fun on set, too.

One viewer was a little too late with a suggestion for how the episode could have been even better.

The team had to take on The Governess in the final round.

Not everyone was backing the contestants – some thought the birthday should be all about the show’s real stars.

In the end, the contestants were victorious, but everyone thought John was the best.

However, could the prize fund have been a bit grander?
