Gunshots cause panic at Cannes Film Festival

Django Unchained actor Christoph Waltz has has been involved in a security scare during a live TV interview at the Cannes Film Festival.

He was forced to take cover after hearing gunshots and a man with a starter pistol was later arrested by police.

On French TV station Canal Plus the presenter stopped, and people began fleeing in panic.

Just hours before, jewellery apparently worth hundreds of thousands of euro due to be loaned to movie stars, was stolen from the resort.
