As we were hiding behind a duvet for most of last night’s latest episode of Love/Hate, we missed the surprise appearances from some special guests - but thankfully some of you had your eyes peeled.

It was of course Tom Vaughan Lawlor’s Dad, Tom Lawlor playing the priest at the dentist’s funeral last night.

Tom boasts a successful Irish acting career appearing in Irish shorts such as ‘Coming Out’ and ‘Birds Die’.

“Yeah, my dad’s an actor and we kind of grew up in an actor’s household so I was exposed to all sides of that life from a very early age. It’s been quite a life,” Tom Vaughan - Lawlor said to RSVP Magazine when asked about his Father’s career.

Paul featured in the hit film, The Devil’s Own, with Harrison Ford and Brad Pitt, the Kevin Spacey-led Ordinary Decent Criminal and roles in dramas such as Ballykissangel and The Clinic.
