Good cast fail to lift 'The Edge of Love'

Director: John Maybury

Cast: Keira Knightley, Cillian Murphy, Matthews Rhys, Sienna Miller

Cert: 15

This is a disappointing account of a three-way romance involving troubled Welsh bard Dylan Thomas (Rhys) and his Irish wife Caitlin (Miller) and singer Vera (Knightley).

However, for all his wordy talent, Thomas was not the nicest of people.

Murphy plays the soldier husband of Vera and his good news is that he gets posted away … Murphy probably wished the posting could have applied to the film itself.

All in all it’s a poorly-scripted, indifferently directed film.

Star Rating: 1/5
