First Batman comic sells for €656,000

First Batman comic sells for €656,000

A copy of the first Batman comic has sold for more than €656,000.

The person selling the copy of Batman Number 1 bought it for €242,000.

The comic cost just 10 US cents when it was first published in 1940.

The boss of the auction house that arranged the sale says the issue is in "near-mint condition".
