Kanye West’s catwalk show has hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons.
The rapper debuted the fourth season of his Yeezy collection for Adidas in Roosevelt Island, just off Manhattan.

But things didn’t exactly go to plan.
Kanye kept the fashion pack waiting as the show began almost two hours late.

And in the meantime models who stood under a blazing sun, in a piece of performance art, in beige and black leotards began toppling over in the sweltering heat.
Fashion scribes documented the whole thing on Twitter.
Some were unimpressed with their treatment as they were driven out to the secret location in a coach.

A model also toppled on the catwalk.
The hour-long show, attended by Kim Kardashian – who later went out in a revealing silver dress – Kendall and Kylie Jenner, took place at Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms Park near a crumbling, long-abandoned hospital for smallpox patients.

The event kicked off New York Fashion Week.
Once the clothes did emerge, some wondered whether they had been worth to wait.
