Fans are desperate for answers after rumours of a Jesy Nelson and Jake Roche split

Uh-oh! Rumours abound that there is trouble in Jesy Nelson/Jake Roche paradise after hawk-eyed followers spotted that Jesy appeared to have unfollowed her fiance’s Instagram account.

The story even made Hello! Magazine as fans of the Little Mix and Rixton stars went into Twitter meltdown over the horror.

Whether the rumours are true, or whether it was just a technical glitch or new social media strategy, people using the hashtag #jakesy seem pretty desperate for answers…

Some have even put the news on a par with other world-shaking events of the day…

Or at least reckon it’s enough to spell the end of belief in true love forever and ever, amen…

More investigative fans have refused to be ruled by rumours and decided to do a little digging of their own…

…While a daring one or two – now, hear them out – suggest it might not be the worst thing in the world, after all.

The pair have been engaged for over a year after Jake proposed to Jesy on stage, serenaded by Ed Sheeran (the actual one) playing Tenerife Sea.

According to the Little Mix autobiography Our World, their romance had been like a “fairy tale” from the beginning.

So let’s hope for a happily ever after all round. And that her unfollowing won’t turn out to be a shout out to her ex. (Sorry).

Last week, I shared my lockdown experience. I asked for a more uniform approach, should there be another lockdown. I explained that I worked mornings. Maybe I should have been more specific: working 8am to 1pm without a break, I gave feedback and covered the curriculum, using our school’s online platform. In the afternoons, I looked after my three kids (all under ten) while my husband worked.
