Elvis' unwashed underpants expected to do well in auction

An unwashed pair of underpants worn by Elvis Presley 35 years ago are expected to fetch £10,000 when they go on auction next month.

The light blue briefs, soiled with stains, were worn under the King's white jumpsuit in a performance in 1977, the year he died.

The underwear, obtained from the estate of his father Vernon Presley, is due to go under the hammer in Stockport, Cheshire.

Interest is expected to be high in an auction coinciding with the 35th anniversary of the singer's death.
