Efron has 'Spider Man' ambitions

Zac Efron would like to be the next 'Spider Man'.

The role, which used to be filled by Tobey Maguire, is currently sitting open for a new actor but Zac admits he hasn't heard anything from casting directors.

He said: "I don't know. To be honest that would be a dream come true. But I haven't heard anything like that. Of course, any actor would love to fill those shoes. They're big shoes to fill."

Discussing the possibility of another 'High School Musical' outing, the 22-year-old star claims there is not much more life in the franchise.

He revealed to Australian radio station 2Day FM: "I don't know what else we could do, we graduated High School. It might be a bit redundant, we're a bit too old and pretty soon what's to stop us from doing Retirement Home Musical."

Zac, who dates his 'High School Musical' co-star Vanessa Hudgens, also suggests he tries not to court media attention.

He added: "I think the more that you cater to the paparazzi the more they are going to come around because they are getting what they want."
