Drew Barrymore chases car after hit-and-run

Actress Drew Barrymore was bumped in a hit-and-run car accident, police in the US said today.

But the 33-year-old actress kept her cool and managed to follow the other vehicle to get its licence number.

Barrymore was not injured in the accident in West Hollywood, Los Angeles County sheriff’s Sergeant Kristin Aloma said.

She did not know the extent of damage to Barrymore’s car.

The actress followed the offending vehicle and jotted down its licence plate number, which she then handed over to sheriff’s deputies, according to Aloma.

“It could be dangerous,” Aloma said of following someone after an accident.

Today, there had been no arrests in the Barrymore accident.

The actress’s screen credits include the Charlie’s Angels movies, 'Fever Pitch' and 'E.T.' the Extra-Terrestrial.
