Dogs behaving badly on Loose Women as Martin Clunes introduces Jack Russell Jim

Men Behaving Badly star Martin Clunes gave the Loose Women panellists more than they bargained for when he brought his pet dog Jim into the studio.

Something spooked the little dog, who went running out on to the set before he got his cue.

“That’s Jim and Martin Clunes, you see, and I was about to do a lovely introduction, you weren’t supposed to know he was here yet, but Jim has decided otherwise,” Ruth Langsford joked. “Jim’s decided it’s his moment.”

She was soon drowned out by barking and had to introduce “The very noisy Jim and the lovely Martin Clunes.”

Luckily, the hound was soon content to stand on Martin’s lap and stare suspiciously around the studio, panting.

The actor even revealed that Jim has sometimes accompanied him on set for Doc Martin when he is feeling blue, explaining: “He’d have his basket round the back of Doc Martin’s desk.”

Dogs around the country were enraptured.

And one viewer’s dog just wanted to play…

Martin was in the studio to talk about the MacMillan Coffee Morning, which is on September 30.
