Cruz aspires to age like Loren

Actress Penelope Cruz has vowed to steer clear of cosmetic surgery to maintain her youthful looks, insisting she aspires to grow old gracefully like her icon Sophia Loren.

The 'Vicky Cristina Barcelona' actress, 34, admits she welcomes the idea of ageing and has no qualms about the thought of grey hair and wrinkles.

She tells Cosmopolitan magazine: "Age holds absolutely no fear for me. There is so much enjoyment ahead.

"Sophia is 74 and amazing - every time I talk to her, she's full of wonderful stories about old actors."

But Cruz confesses that despite regularly being named one of the most beautiful women in the world, she is still not completely content with her body.

She adds: "I know myself a little bit more (as I grow older)... but I wish I was less insecure. I've always had my insecurities and most of them have not gone away. I guess we're all vulnerable."
