Cruise keen to bring Smith to Hollywood

Sam Smith is set to become a Hollywood star.

The 22-year-old singer, who won four Grammys and two Brit Awards last month, has attracted the attention of Tom Cruise, who's keen to take the Brit under his wing.

A source told the Daily Star Sunday newspaper: "Tom's offered to take Sam under his wing.

"He was intrigued to learn that Sam started off as an actor and he thinks he could be a natural for everything from action movies to musicals."

What's more, Sam is said to be "extremely flattered" by Cruise's interest, according to friends and colleagues, who also say he is "very receptive" towards the idea of working with him on a film.

Meanwhile, Sam revealed recently that his new health regime brings him to tears "every night".

The singer is working hard to get in shape before his upcoming tour kicks off.

However, he confessed: "I've been crying every night because I can't eat. I've got a new nutritionist and I'm working my a**e off.

"This is my last day off before I go on this detox thing - I'm going to have five takeaways in one day."
