Compelling documentary explores world of quad rugby

Documentaries have really come into their own over the past few years thanks to Michael Moore, but Murderball (Optimum, €24.99) is no political statement, but a hard nosed look at the world of quad rugby, where men with a passion for sport turn a blind eye to their physical disabilities and take each other on in a bruising encounter pitting man and machines in a no holds barred contest.

Directed by Henry Alex Rubin and Dana Adam Shapiro, watch the tension build as Team America take on rivals Team Canada at the 2004 Paralympic Games in Athens.

A compelling film that challenges some of our preconceptions about the disabled, it comes with player and filmmaker commentaries, deleted scenes and other featurettes.
