Coldplay collaborate with Jay-Z on new track

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin has announced that rapper Jay-Z will collaborate with the band on new track 'Lost!'

The singer and his wife Gwyneth Paltrow are good friends with Jay-Z, and the musicians have previously teamed up to work on the song 'Beach Chair', which was on Jay-Z's 2006 album 'Kingdom Come'.

Now Jay-Z, real name Shawn Carter, is to return the guest appearance for the British rockers.

In a statement on the group's official website, they said: "In the spirit of trying to do things a bit differently and keep everything fresh, we are going to do a few musical moves that we have not previously attempted.

"Firstly, in a few weeks we are going to release a version of 'Lost!' which has a guest appearance on it in the form of Jay-Z."

Lost! features on Coldplay's latest album, 'Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends'.
