Church slams Brits nominees

Welsh singer Charlotte Church has launched a scathing attack on fellow Brit Award nominees Craig David, Coldplay and Arctic Monkeys.

The Crazy Chick, who is up for Best British Female Artist at the ceremony later this month, is horrified by the current UK music scene, and insists many of the nominated musicians don't deserve a gong.

The 19-year-old says: "I find it (Coldplay's music) depressing. It's a bit on the melodramatic side.

"Craig David's gone a bit middle of the road. It's a bit Elton John.

"Arctic Monkeys? Wouldn't know if I fell over them.

"Dizzee Rascal is a bit much for me. He sound like a 12-year-old boy on the brink of puberty."
