Chantelle: Wedding is on ice

Chantelle Houghton has confirmed her wedding to Alex Reid is on hold.

The 28-year-old reality star has fuelled speculation the couple are not getting on after revealing she will not be walking down the aisle with the 36-year-old cage fighter – who was previously married to Katie Price – this year, next year or in 2013 because they have "more important things to deal with".

The former glamour model – who is pregnant and due to give birth in June - said: "The wedding won't be happening next year or maybe even the year after that.

"We have much more important things to deal with."

Chantelle – who shot to fame when she won 'Celebrity Big Brother' in 2006, where she met her ex-husband, Ordinary Boys singer Preston – gets "terrified" when she is left in her and Alex's Essex house on her own and she sometimes climbs into the cupboard to hide because she is so scared.

In an interview with OK! Magazine, she added: "I’m terrified in the house on my own. I’m so scared.

“Every creak, every shadow on the walls, it’s like Fort Knox. There are panic buttons in every room in the house. I don’t know why I am so scared. I am frightened out of my life about everything.

“I am scared of my own shadow. I think someone is going to come and get me.

“I wish [Alex] was around. Late at night I lie awake scared. I stay in the little room right at the back of the house where no one can get me and in can climb into the cupboard and hide.

“I don’t know what’s wrong with me. Maybe it’s my hormones.”
