Casanova is full of dash and entertainment

Casanova

Director: Lasse Hallstrom

Cast: Heath Ledger, Sienna Miller, Jeremy Irons, Oliver Platt

Cert: 12

Another go at the oft-told tale of the great 18th century lover.

We’ve seen it often enough before, though here a sterling cast – specially Miller and a surprisingly effective Ledger in an unusually light role as the great man himself – gives the story as much of a new spin as possible … it’s often quite funny, swashbuckling, good to look at and full of dash and entertainment.

Star Rating: 4/5
