Bruce Jenner has allegedly undergone full gender reassignment surgery and is officially considered a woman.

“The procedure involved reshaping Bruce’s male genitalia into that of a woman,” an insider told Radar online.

"He was very happy with the results, but didn’t realize how grueling the recovery would be”.

The surgery said to be more than eight hours long and took place over three weeks ago.

During his long-awaited interview with journalist Diane Sawyer , Bruce opened up about his life long battle with his desire to be a female.

Jenner was also spotted with a new blonde look over the weekend so sources are speculating that it could be only a matter of time before he goes public with his new persona.

‘Bruce’s kids have never seen him so happy. They just wish he would publicly start living as a woman, but contractually, he has to keep it under wraps until the docu series premieres,’ the insider added.

The first episode of the eight-part series premieres in the US on July 27.

A representative for Bruce is yet to confirm or deny the claims that he has undergone the surgery.
