Britney causes trouble in 'Glee'

Britney Spears is set to cause a huge rift amongst the 'Glee' characters when the New Directions glee club members fall out with their teacher Will Schuester, when they beg him to let them perform a track by the pop princess.

Heather Morris, who plays singing cheerleader Brittany in the musical comedy drama series, has revealed to E! Online: "We want to do Britney for a glee club performance and Will Schuester doesn't allow it.

"He doesn't agree with us. My character's arc in the episode, in a way, is Britney Spears!," she said.

Heather worked closely with the pop star when she filmed scenes for the upcoming episode of the show recently.

While on set, the two women acted out scenes from Britney's 2003 music video duet with Madonna, from their track 'Me Against The Music'.

In a picture Britney posted on twitter, she is wearing a white trouser suit similar to what Madonna wore, while Heather seemingly takes on Britney's role.

Discussing working with the star, she said: "She did such a good job. She was very, very quiet and very sweet. She was awesome."

Brittany also revealed that some vital information about her alter-ego is set to be announced in the upcoming episode.

She added: "You figure out my character's last name."
