Brand vows to give all earnings to charity

British comic Russell Brand has vowed to give away all of his fortune to help combat world poverty.

The 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' star has worked on a series of successful TV shows in the UK, as well as landing a book deal and a blossoming big screen career.

However, Brand feels guilty about the money he has earned from his glamorous endeavours - and has vowed to donate his earnings to charity.

He writes on his website: "I'm proud to say that after a relatively short period of wealth I now recognise the insufficiency of personal privilege in a world with so much poverty.

"'Does that mean you're going to give away all your money then?', I imagine someone who dislikes me yet who has mysteriously found their way onto my website saying, and the answer is: 'Yes'."
