Brad Pitt to hit London red carpet after child abuse claims are dropped

Brad Pitt is set to make a public appearance in London days after he was cleared of claims that he had abused his son on a plane.

He will be attending the premiere of his latest film Allied alongside his co-star Marion Cotillard.

His trip comes barely two weeks after sole custody of his six children was given to Angelina Jolie following the couple’s filing for divorce.

Marion and her partner Guillaume Canet reportedly both denied rumours that the actress, 41, had an affair with Brad, 52, in the lead-up to the split.

She is currently pregnant with her second child with Guillaume following the birth of their first son, Marcel, in 2011.

In the film, Brad plays intelligence officer Maz Vatan who meets the French Resistance fighter Marianne Beausejour, played by Marion, during a dangerous mission in 1942 North Africa.

But when the pair are reunited in London, the extreme pressures of war present a fresh threat to their relationship.

The stars will be joined by actors Jared Harris and Lizzy Caplan, as well as director Robert Zemeckis and writer Steven Knight, as they take to the red carpet in Leicester Square on Monday.

Allied is released in UK cinemas on Friday November 25.
