Bold looks dominate the red carpet at the BBC Music Awards

The red carpet at the BBC Music Awards was awash with colour, as stars such as John Legend, Emeli Sande, Zara Larsson and Fearne Cotton popped on their brightest numbers.

The event, held at London’s ExCeL, is one of music’s biggest nights.

US star John was one of the brightest stars on the carpet, rocking a sharp purple suit.

But he had some competition from Fearne, who positively glittered as she slinked up the red carpet in her form-fitting sequinned frock.

Emeli opted for a bright coral outfit which she accessorised with some large glitzy hoop earrings.

Zara was certainly fashion-forward in this silver and white number, although we can’t quite decide whether it worked or not…

And Gemma Cairney brought the edge in this gold suit with a black lace top.
