Beyonce posts first photo of her twins and it’s very Beyonce

Beyonce has finally unveiled the long awaited Carter twins to the world, one month after they were born.

The 35-year-old took to Instagram to post the photo as short while ago and it has already clocked up over 2M likes.

She also confirmed the names of the boy and girl in the caption, “Sir Carter and Rumi 1 month today”.

The photo is a clear follow up of her original pregnancy announcement photo which broke Kendall Jenner’s record of the ‘most liked photo on Instagram’ back in February.

We would like to share our love and happiness,” she posted at the time, on behalf of herself and her husband, Jay Z.

“We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes. - The Carters”

The name Rumi is said to be a homage to a 13th century Persian poet and Sir is a character featured in one of his most famous poems.

“Bring the pure wine of

love and freedom.

But sir, a tornado is coming.

More wine, we'll teach this storm

A thing or two about whirling.”

The couple are also parents to five-year-old daughter Blue Ivy.
