Batter banter: the best innuendos from this week's Bake Off

The Great British Bake Off’s first ever batter week gave the stars and contestants of the show some good chances to sneak some cheeky innuendos into their banter in the tent.

However, jovial host Sue Perkins – often the biggest innuendo-dropper of all – kept her dialogue on the safer side this week, leaving her co-host Mel Giedroyc, judges Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry and the bakers to dole out the funniest lines.

Check out some of the best innuendos of the week:

Andrew Smyth discusses how he will impress the judges with his Yorkshire pudding batter.

“Resting it seems to give it a better rise.”

Mary on Selasi Gbormittah’s Yorkshire puddings.

“There’s masses of room to put all of that pork filling in.”

Paul’s critique of Selasi’s bake.

“The only problem is, we’ve got a little chap here and a whopping one here!”

Mel quizzes Candice Brown over her pancake-flipping technique.

Mel: “Are you a tosser or a flipper?”

Candice: “Oh, I’m a tosser all the way, Mel.”

Mel advises Kate Barmby over pancakes.

“One lovely flick of the wrist and over it comes.”

Paul, on Candice’s churros attempt.

“They need to be a bit stiffer and a bit bigger.”

A worthy mention also goes out to Sue, though, for her “chur-Ross Kemp” joke at the start of the Showstopper churros challenge.
