Gary Barlow will return to 'The X Factor' later this year.
The Take That star has reportedly been in talks with show boss Simon Cowell this week and they have thrashed out a deal which will see him as the head judge on the show for a second year.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Everyone was delighted Gary agreed to come back for another series of X Factor. There's no ink on the contract, but he's good for his word."
However, the scheduling of the show could produce some conflict for Gary as his wife, Dawn, is due to give birth to their fourth child at around the same time as the judges' houses stage of the contest - which last year saw him in America, away from his home in the UK.
The source added: "He was being a bit sheepish about his decision though because the diary has kicked up some problems.
"Gary has promised he'll be present for the birth, but Simon Cowell is a tough task master. It could be very tricky."
Judges Louis Walsh and Tulisa Contostavlos are also expected to return to the show this summer, but although the future of fourth panelist Kelly Rowland was said to be in uncertain, Simon said earlier this month: "My gut feeling is all four should come back."
Former Destiny's Child singer Kelly is said to have been in talks with Simon this week.
