‘Bad Boys 3’ in development

‘Bad Boys 3’ is in development – without key cast confirming their involvement.

Columbia Pictures have hired Peter Craig to pen a script for a new movie in the detective franchise, but lead actors Will Smith and Martin Lawrence have not yet committed to the project, nor has producer Jerry Bruckheimer or director Michael Bay.

While The Hollywood Reporter says the quartet are all willing to take part, it is unclear whether the studio will be possible to raise the funding for the stars, who have all seen their fame rise since the original 1995 movie.

The ‘Bad Boys’ movies follow detectives Mike Lowrey, played by Will and Martin’s Marcus as they fight crime on the streets of Miami.
