Australian influence in new Take That album

The 'Beautiful World' group's main songwriter, Gary Barlow, has recently been on travels across the Commonwealth of Nations recording singers for the track 'Sing', in celebration of Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee this year, and says some of it will influence the next record by his group.

He told BANG Showbiz: "I don't really travel much anymore. It's very difficult to travel as a band. So this is the first time I've travelled in years really.

"When I left Australia I had a case full of music, this amazing music in Australia, and I'm already thinking about the next Take That record with flavours of this music on it because I've discovered a lot in Sydney.

"It does have an influence on you, definitely, I think travel does. When you travel you can't help but hear it."

Gary wrote 'Sing' with Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber and admitted they were so excited about recording with so many exotic new musicians, they had to eventually limit themselves.

He added: "The record changed on a daily basis as we were travelling. It's like nothing I've ever been a part of before but there does come a point where you have to say, 'Right, stop, stop recording people now.'"

'Sing' is released on May 28.
