Arg and Lydia wish 'TOWIE' hadn't happened

James 'Arg' Argent and Lydia Bright wish 'The Only Way Is Essex' "hadn't happened".

The 24-year-old reality star – who split from the blonde beauty in January after a four-year on-off romance – claims while Lydia still wants to "marry" him and have his children in the future, the ITV2 show has ruined their relationship.

He said: "I went to her house and we had a big emotional talk. She said, 'I still want to marry you. I still want to have your kids. I wish we could go back to two years ago and this whole show hadn't happened.'"

While Arg accepts the couple's relationship is "definitely over", he finds the thought of her moving on with another man "devastating" and has ruled out dating another 'TOWIE' co-star in the future.

He added in an interview with Now magazine: "The thought of her kissing another man is devastating. It's definitely over between us for now. If she did get with someone else, I wouldn’t want to be with her.

"I'd never get with someone for the sake of a storyline. I'd potentially bring someone in who I'd met in real life. But no matter how good-looking and nice some of these girls might be, it's going to be hard after being with Lydia. We're still in love with each other."
