Ant and Dec wear matching outfits - by accident

Ant and Dec are so close they accidentally wear matching clothes.

The TV duo share a driver and - having become very close friends over their career - Ant McPartlin admitted one of them often has to change because they end up wearing the same outfit.

Speaking on Radio 4's 'Desert Island Discs', he said: "When the door opens of the car, I have a little glance to see what he's wearing, because sometimes we do end up wearing exactly the same thing.

"We say, 'you have got to go and get changed' and it happens quite a lot."

Despite Ant marrying Lisa Armstrong in 2006, he and Declan Donnelly - his 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' co-host - are still very close, and the three of them even have dinner together quite often.

Ant added: "It never really affected my relationship with Dec, getting married, and it gets to the point where we are in the car together coming home from work and the phone rings and Lisa says, 'We are all having chops tonight.' "

Dec credits their successful career - which began when they appeared in TV show 'Byker Grove' in 1989 - with the fact they were always friends first.

He explained: "The secret to our success is that our career has been build on a friendship, not a friendship built on a career."
