Lily Allen will spend her honeymoon at the Glastonbury Festival, it has emerged.
The 25-year-old singer - who is set to tie the knot with her fiancé Sam Cooper in Gloucestershire, South West England, on June 11 – will travel to the world famous music event in Somerset, South West England, at the end of June to relax with her new husband in luxury £1,000 (€1,136) tepees in the backstage VIP area.
Festival organiser Michael Eavis said: “Lily’s coming down for her honeymoon. We’ll look after her, I’ll set her up a special tent – she’ll get well treated.
“I’m going to the wedding in Gloucestershire. I’ve known her since she was tiny. She’s such a star isn’t she? Her songs are so good. I’d love to coax her out of retirement for this year’s festival. I’m sure she’ll come back but right now I’m really looking forward to her wonderful wedding.”
Allen appears to be in need of a relaxing break after the stress of organising her nuptials seemed to get to her yesterday when she launched a foul-mouthed tirade on twitter against everyone involved in the big day.
She tweeted: “Tip of the day: don't ever get married, its a nightmare, and everyone involved (or not as the case may be) turns into a ****.”
