Ali Lohan moves closer to movie role

Lindsay Lohan's younger sister Ali is a step closer to following in her famous sibling's footsteps - she has been tipped to take the lead role in a new blockbuster.

Ali Lohan, who has been filming new reality show 'Living Lohan' in a bid to raise her profile, recently auditioned for the multi-million dollar remake of 1986 camp classic 'Troll'.

And after seeing her act, director John Carl Buechler admits that Lohan is currently favourite to land the lead role in the film, which is due to go into production later this year.

He tells E! online: "She was great. The camera loves her. She's a really good actress...I am personally going to fight for her."

The original movie starred Sonny Bono, June Lockhart and marked the feature-film debut of Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
