Adele and Garth Brooks set to play Cork in 2017?

We know, we know, that headline gave us a mini heart attack as well.

Adele and Garth Brooks are set to play Cork next year?

Adele and Garth Brooks set to play Cork in 2017?

Well, according to Lord Mayor of Cork Cllr Des Cahill it is a strong possibility.

Speaking to Neil Prendeville on Cork’s Red FM, Cahill said that planning is currently underway and he was confident that the concerts will take place.

“Although the concerts have yet to be officially confirmed the speculation that two blockbuster gigs are in the pipeline for the new Cork stadium in the summer of 2017 is a huge boost,” he said.

“The speculation that we could be welcoming Garth Brooks and Adele to Leeside next summer is outstanding news for Cork.”

He also took to Twitter to post this video discussing the speculation while standing outside said venue, Pairc Uí Chaoimh.

Please don’t be messing with our emotions, Des - we can't take another Garth Brooks heartbreak.
