Warburton appointed as DoneDeal CEO

Classified adverts website DoneDeal.ie has today announced the appointment of John Warburton, as the company’s new chief executive officer.

Warburton has served as DoneDeal’s COO for the past two years and will continue to work alongside Fred Karlsson, DoneDeal’s co-founder, but will now take on overall responsibility for the operational and strategic management of the business.

Commenting on his appointment, Fred Karlsson, co-founder of DoneDeal, said: “Today’s announcement continues on our strategy for DoneDeal as we invest further in building the expertise, resources and capabilities of the business in order to support us on our continued growth path.

“John has played a pivotal role in the recent success and growth of DoneDeal from overseeing the company’s smooth transition as part of the international Schibsted Media Group through to the introduction of innovative smartphone apps and more recently, its move to new expanded offices in the heart of Wexford town.”
