Talks continue between Aer Lingus management and unions

Talks between Aer Lingus management and unions are continuing this morning.

Both sides have been meeting since yesterday afternoon, in a bid to reach agreement on a €97m cost-cutting plan at the former state carrier.

More than 670 workers face the axe as management aim to restructure the troubled airline.

An extraordinary meeting of the board of Aer Lingus will take place later today where a decision will be taken on the introduction of cost-cutting measures - with or without agreement from the unions.
