Survey shows improvement in employer confidence

Employers are feeling much more optimistic about the outlook for the future, according to the latest Business Sentiment Survey from IBEC.

It shows a marked improvement in confidence, which rose from -5 in the second quarter to +1 in the third quarter.

"Irish businesses generally have improved their competitive position and are continuing to perform quite strongly internationally at the moment," said IBEC senior economist Fergal O'Brien.
