Plan to help SMEs trade online 'helping create jobs'

The Government is claiming that its new plan to boost online trading is creating jobs.

The Trading Online Voucher Scheme, launched last year, offers small businesses a grant of up to €2,500 to develop their internet abilities.

A recent survey found that more than 70% of participants say they expect to recruit more staff.

Some 85% saw an increase in customer inquiries and an average 21% increase in sales was reported across the board.
