New Limerick DIY store creates 40 jobs

Forty jobs are set to be created at a new DIY and home improvement store that is opening on the outskirts of Limerick today.

The Wickes store is the first of 15 due to open throughout Ireland over the coming five years.

More than 400 people will eventually be employed in the outlets.

Moritz Trading, which has agreed a franchise deal with the British retail chain, says it believes the Irish stores can prosper despite the economic downturn.
