Monaghan sees 60 jobs go at dairy

There is bad news on the jobs front in Co. Monaghan as Lakeland Dairies have announced 60 job cuts today.

It is closing its milk-drying facilities at Lough Egish near Carrickmacross.

The company said it is part of a restructuring programme and is necessary for the dairy to remain competitive.
