Little movement on ISEQ

The ISEQ index of Irish shares gained marginally in today's trading, finishing up 2.93 points at 2,977.93.

Ryanair ended the day up 8c at €3.14 after earlier posting record passenger numbers for August.

Other risers included Kerry Group, up 14c to €18.46; Elan Corp, also up 14c, to €5.15; Smurfit Kappa, adding 11c to €5.17, and Glanbia, rising 4c to €2.82.

On the fallers' board, DCC dropped 35c to €15.80, CRH was down 22c to €16.74 and C&C slipped 4c to €2.42.

Financial stocks were mixed, with Bank of Ireland adding 2c to €2.30 and insurer FBD up 3c to €7.05 but AIB shedding 7c to €2.35.
