There was little movement for the ISEQ index of Irish shares today, which crept up 7.16 points to 3,347.33.
In the financial sector, Bank of Ireland led the way, rising 15c to €3.42. Irish Life and Permanent was down 5c to €5.62, as Allied Irish Banks slipped 3c to €3.21.
There were some impressive gain, with DCC chief among them, gaining 19c to €17.64. Dragon Oil (up 16c to €4.23) and Donegal Creameries (up 12c to €2.33) also did well.
There were contrasting fortunes in the construction sector. Kingspan climbed 15c to €6.30, but CRH declined 14c to €18.90.
The biggest loss of the day came for Icon, which fell 95c to €16. Irish Continental Group declined 30c to €11.80.
