Laois conference advises start-ups

A conference is taking place in Co Laois today to advise people on how to start and grow their own business.

The 'Start and Grow Expo' is taking place in the Heritage Hotel in Portlaoise and a wide range of entrepreneurs and budding business people are attending.

Among the participants is John Teeling, who is the founder and chairman of Cooley Distillery and is also a part of Kilbeggan Distillery.

He said the key skill was "the ability to take the risk…I'm going to call it the guts."
