ISEQ slightly up in early trading

The ISEQ index of Irish shares reported a slight increase in early-morning trading.

Shortly after 11am, the index was valued at 2,731.33, an increase of 4.68 o 0.17%.

AIB was the only one of the major banks to report a rise, up 1c to €3.40, while Ango Irish Bank was down 10c to €1.70, Bank of Ireland was down 2c to €1.64 and Irish Life & Permanent dropped almost 10%, down 35c to €3.20.

FBD was another major faller, down 50c to €10.50, a fall of around 9%.

On the positive side, Kerry Group and Kingspan were both performing strongly, Kerry up 70c to €18.10 while Kingspan was up 28c to €4.48.
