ISEQ down in early trading

The ISEQ index of Irish shares was down 25.86 points to 3,032.97 at 11.45am this morning, a drop of 0.85%.

Among the fallers were Aryzta, down 44c to €25.66; Tullow Oil, falling 21c to €14.29; Ryanair, down 14c to €3.27; Paddy Power, shedding 9c to €24.51; Elan Corp, slipping 7c to €4.47, and CRH, shedding 4c to €19.66.

Financial stocks were also on the slide, with AIB down 6c to €1.23, Bank of Ireland slipping 4c to €1.35 and Irish Life & Permanent also down 4c, to €3.20.

On the risers' board, C&C added 7c to €2.94 and DCC climbed 9c to €19.79.
