Irish Water comes last in survey of customer interaction

Irish Water has been rated worst for consumer interaction in a new survey of brands.

The new utility came in last of 136 brands for the Consumer Experience Report.

Voted best for consumer experience were the Irish Credit Unions, followed by the National Concert Hall, Dublin Zoo and supermarket chain Aldi.

Gerard O'Neill Chairman of Amárach Research, which carried out the survey, says Irish Water caused particular ire for customers.

Mr O'Neill said: "The worst performing was Irish Water, which perhaps doesn't come as a surprise for a lot of people.

"In terms of the top 100, what we found was that it is the companies that have the human touch have the best staff support, the best customer experience in terms of staff service to customers who did very well."
