IIB expecting 0.25% rise in interest rates next month

IIB Bank is predicting a further rise in interest rates as early as next month.

The company said today that it expected the European Central Bank to increase rates by 0.25% next month and a further 0.5% before the end of the year.

It said the prediction was based on a recent improvement in German business sentiment, which was at its highest level in more than 14 years last month.
