IBEC says Ireland's economy to grow by 5% this year

The Business group IBEC says Ireland's economy will grow by nearly 5% this year.

The latest IBEC/ESRI quarterly outlook predicts 3.9% growth in GDP for next year.

It also says unemployment should dip below 6% by the end of the year.

However, the business group is warning that lack of progress in Brexit negotiations could derail growth.
