HMV sells live music business

Entertainment retailer HMV has sold live music business MAMA Group to private equity house LDC in a deal worth £7.3m (€9m).

The sale of MAMA, which holds over 2,700 events annually in the UK, with up to one million people visiting its venues and 150,000 attending its festivals every year, follows the disposal earlier this year of the Hammersmith Apollo.
