Friends First: Ireland's economic outlook 'more positive'

The outlook for the Irish economy into 2014 is generally positive, according to a report to be published by Friends First later.

The report will outline a number of recommendations for the Government.

The group claim that if the Coalition tackles issues, such as the mortgage arrears crisis and the banking system, Ireland's economy could be on the path to recovery.

Friends First's chief economist Jim Power says it is looking "more positive".
