Direct shipping service connects Cork with Cuba

A direct shipping service has been announced from Ireland to Cuba.

Maersk Line already connects Cork with other Latin American destinations.

It says the Mariel to Port of Cork route provides an opportunity to directly target the Latin American market.

The move follows the removal of economic sanctions on Cuba.
